When life gets busy

I haven’t written in a while. I”m not talking about blogging. Heaven knows, I’m inconsistent in my posts. I’m referring to my current book, a rough draft of Muttopia #3 that is about 33% done and hasn’t seen any work in the last eight weeks.

Yikes.

Eight weeks is a long time to go without writing, especially for a writer. We tend to go a little crazy when we aren’t working.

When you have a passion, something that drives you, don’t let it slip away. Your spirit will suffer. Your energy will wane. You’ll get weary, harried, and start eating sugar cookies with double frosting and bacon bits while sipping on cheap wine. Y’know…hypothetically.

Everyone has something they live for, a spark that enhances life and experience. Something that never, ever feels like a waste of time. When we get busy, it’s the first thing to suffer.

As soon as possible, in spite of everything else that’s going on,  we need to get back to it. Push aside whatever stands in your way and steal time to do what you need to do. Trust me, you’ll never regret it.

That said, I’ve got some writing to do.
