My demons, Lilith’s Demons…

Publishing usually takes longer than I expect.

This particular book needed an especially long time. I sure as heck did not expect it to take a year.

Okay, okay. You got me. It’s been longer than a year. The earliest versions of the research file are dated 2018. The cover art was commissioned back in 2016, so by that measure…

Anyway, I think we can all agree that’s not important.

This has been one hell of a year. As an ‘essential’ worker, I’ve been very busy and working overtime. Constant mask-wearing at work has increased my migraines. Family has endured tumultuous health and financial concerns. I’ve also been drinking more, but that’s a blog for another time. I’ve got all sorts of excuses.

Heck, given the state of things, I figured people do not want to be reading dystopian fiction right now. When normalcy is threatened, people tend to want the safer, happier, nostalgic stories.

Or so I assume. Maybe my readers will prove me wrong.

I am glad to finally have this book off my chest. It has been a delight, an adventure, a trial, and a roadblock between me and my coming projects. I have shared many joyous, egregious, and self-depreciating moments with this book. At this point, we’re old friends.

Book two in Lilith’s story has her heading back into post-apocalyptic Boston, summoning demons, and fleeing murderous angels. She bargains with Fate and the oracle, Everallin, all while trying to evade her daughter’s vengeful army.

I’m not going to promise I’ll get the third book done any faster. If I were you, I wouldn’t believe any of my deadline promises, either.

And this is for kindle.
